ZWO ASI294MC Pro - Cooled Color CMOS Camera for astrophotography
The new ZWO ASI294MC camera is the first camera in the world to use the Sony IMX294CJK sensor. This new sensor Sony is the first sensor for astronomical cameras to use the 4/3" format and to have a pixel output necessary to support the 4K format at 120 fps (ADC 10bit output mode).
In addition, the use of a large pixel reaches SNR1s of 0.14 lx *, very close to the value of ASI224 (0.13 lx *).
Unlike the younger sister ASI1600, this new camera has a backlit senor (BSI) that allows it to reach up to 75% of QE.
12V 5A power supply for Peltier cooling as a gift!
Exceptional low light performance SNR1s: 0.14lx
This result is achieved using a large optical system and expanding the area by pixels to 4.63 microns; which makes the IMX294CJK sensor ideal for astronomical applications where high performance even in low light is required.
SONY 11.7MP sensor with 23.2mm diagonal
The SONY IMX294 sensor has a diagonal of 23.2mm and a 4.63x4.63 micron pixel, the 4/3 "format is the same as the ASI1600 cameras with Panasonic sensor but much more powerful, with 11.7MP and a resolution of 4144x2822.With this sensor it is possible to photograph an entire cluster of galaxies and show the details of the individual at the same time!
The chamber also features TEC Cooling cooling with a room temperature delta of up to -40 °.
Techincal details:
Two-stage regulation with 40 ° thermal delta compared to the environmentElectronic shutter: no vibration
Extremely low reading noise: 2.3e @ 24db gain 3.3e @lowest gain
14bit ADC: provide real 14bit Dynamic range
USB 3.0: Very high frame download speed, avoids data loss during unloading
USB 2.0 HUB: Dual USB 2.0 port useful for connecting the driving chamber
Window with AR coated
Compatible with Windows-Mac-Linux
256MB DDR3 internal memory so you do not miss any frames!
Thanks to the new 256MB DDR3 internal memory, you will not lose any information even through USB 2.0 outputs!
FULL WELL CAPACITY HUGE!
The new ASI294 is able to achieve a Full Well Capacity of 63700e, is 3 times higher than the ASI1600!Even bright stars do not saturate with long exposures!
This camera can achieve a higher SNR (signal to noise) ratio with a single exposure.
